Calvin Klein turned to minimalist architect Richard Gluckman to design his personal studio and office, and Eurostruct built it. The full-floor space sits high in the Chelsea Arts Tower with sweeping views of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline. Floor-to-ceiling glass, polished concrete floors and 11-foot ceilings give the 3,300-square-foot studio the same clean restraint as Klein’s designs. The plan runs from a reception area into a large open workspace, with a kitchen and a private terrace. Eurostruct also installed the mechanical and plumbing systems. The 24-foot metal conference table was too big for the elevator and had to be lifted in by crane. The studio was completed in 2009.
